Smothered Steak
Smothered Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large round steak, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 2 cubes beef bouillon, 2 c. water and 1/2 c. sour cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Roll steak in flour, salt and pepper.
Brown in hot oil. Pour rice in bottom of casserole dish.
Top with browned steak. Mix bouillon, onion, celery, wine vinegar and water in saucepan. Cook until onion and celery are tender.
Mix sour cream and soup with bouillon mixture and pour over steak.
Bake in oven at 275Β° for 2 hours.
By using the wine vinegar this gives the taste of stroganoff.
