Smothered Steak
Smothered Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 to 2 lb. cubed steak, 1 large onion, sliced, 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, 1 medium can tomato sauce and 2 tomatoes, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Batter steak pieces in flour.
Brown quickly in hot oil. Place meat in slow cooker alternately with onion, pepper, mushrooms and tomatoes.
Cover with tomato sauce.
Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or cook on high for 4 to 5 hours.
Serve over rice.
