Simple Salisbury Steak
Simple Salisbury Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. cream of mushroom soup, 1 lb. ground chuck, 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs, 1 egg, beaten and 1/4 c. finely chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix thoroughly 1/4 cup of the soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg and onion.
Shape into 6 patties.
Cook patties over medium-high heat in skillet until browned.
Remove.
Spoon off fat.
Stir in remaining soup and mushrooms.
Return patties to skillet.
Reduce heat to low.
Cover; simmer 20 minutes or until done, turning occasionally.
Serve with rice or noodles.
