Sharon's Chili Chicken
Sharon'S Chili Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 whole chickens, cut into pieces, 2 green peppers, cut in chunks, 2 tomatoes, quartered, salt to taste and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, ginger and oregano.
Dot with butter and brown on both sides under broiler. Sprinkle with oregano.
Saute mushrooms in butter and garlic powder.
Combine sherry and chili sauce in saucepan and simmer for a few minutes.
Add tomatoes, green pepper and mushrooms to chicken and pour sauce over all.
Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Baste often with juices.
