Pound deer steaks with meat mallet.

Salt and pepper both sides, dip in flour and fry in oil, in frying pan.

Lightly brown each side, does not have to cook red out of meat.

Place in baking dish, after all meat has been cooked (add more oil if needed). Pour most oil out of frying pan. Add onions, stir add flour (to make gravy).

Pour in water and sauce.

Mix, may not set up as thick as gravy.

Pour over meat, and bake at 350Β° for 1-2 hours until can cut with fork.
