Oven Barbecued Chicken
Oven Barbecued Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 to 4 lb. chicken pieces, 1/3 c. chopped onion, 3 tbsp. butter or margarine, 3/4 c. ketchup and 1/3 c. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Heat a small amount of oil in a large skillet; fry chicken until browned.
Drain; place chicken in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender; stir in remaining ingredients.
Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
Pour over chicken.
Bake at 350Β° about 1 hour or until chicken is done, basting occasionally.
