No-Bake Date Balls
No-Bake Date Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 cups corn, wheat or bran flakes, 3/4 cup pitted dates, 1/2 cups pecans or walnuts, 2 tablespoons honey and 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Put the cornflakes, dates and pecans into an electric blender or food processor and whirl just until well chopped or crush the cereal with your hands and chop the dates and nuts with a knife. In a mixing bowl, combine the cereal mixture with the honey, butter and lemon juice.
Knead until well mixed, then roll into 1 inch balls.
Sprinkle with sugar on a sheet of wax paper, and roll the balls in the sugar.
Store in an airtight container.
