Molasses Coffee Cake
Molasses Coffee Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 2 c. sugar, 1/2 lb. oleo, 1 c. brer rabbit (or grandma's molasses) and 2 c. boiling water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

π¨βπ³ Instructions
Combine flour, sugar and oleo into very fine crumbs.
Set 1 1/2 cups aside to use as topping.
In large bowl, combine Brer Rabbit, boiling water and baking soda; add the crumbs and mix by hand very well.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Top with remaining crumbs.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 to 45 minutes.
