Mexican Green Chili Squares
Mexican Green Chili Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (4 oz.) cans chopped green mexican chilies, drained, 2 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded monterey jack cheese, 1 1/2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 5 eggs, slightly beaten and 5 tbsp. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 375°.
Lightly grease a 12 x 8-inch glass pan. Spread chopped green chilies on bottom of pan.
Sprinkle both cheeses over chilies.
Beat eggs; add milk and flour.
Mix until blended.
Add garlic powder, salt and hot sauce.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes until set and brown.
Don't let edges brown too quickly; cover with tinfoil lip if necessary.
Let cool 10 minutes.
Serve warm.
Can be kept warm in a 200° oven if wrapped in tinfoil.
