Meatballs In Cocktail Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hamburger or venison, elk, buffalo, 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Shape meatballs into 1 inch balls.
Place on a jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated oven at 400Β° for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, in large saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, basil and salt; stir in remaining ingredients.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
Add meatballs.
Remove from heat, pour into storage container; cool.
Cover and refrigerate.
Just before serving, heat meatballs about 10 minutes in sauce.
Makes about 4 dozen.
