Low-Fat Applesauce Muffins
Low-Fat Applesauce Muffins is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 c. post grape-nuts brand cereal, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Heat oven to 400Β°.
Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in large mixing bowl.
Mix cereal and milk in another bowl; let stand 3 minutes.
Stir egg, applesauce, sugar and margarine into flour mixture.
Stir just until moistened.
(Batter will be lumpy.) Stir in cranberries or raisins.
Spoon batter into muffin pan sprayed with no stick cooking spray, filling each cup 2/3 full. Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve warm.
Freeze any leftover muffins.
