Lo-Cal Pepper Steak
Lo-Cal Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. chuck steak, 2 tbsp. soy sauce, 1 tbsp. oil, 2 tbsp. cornstarch and 2 green peppers, thinly sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Sliver meat in 2 x 1/4-inch pieces; soak in soy sauce (even overnight).
In skillet, saute onion and green pepper in oil until tender.
Add meat and brown.
Add tomatoes, salt and pepper.
Let simmer 1 hour.
Make paste with cornstarch and water; add to skillet.
Let simmer 15 minutes more.
Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 6.
