Lemon Amonia Cookies
Lemon Amonia Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. shortening, 2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, separated, 2 c. sweet milk and 2 tsp. baking amonia, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg yolks and beat.
Add lemon oil; dissolve amonia in milk and add to mixture.
Use enough flour to make batter the consistency of cake.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg white.
Add remainder of flour to make a stiff dough. Roll on floured board and cut with cookie cutter into desired shape.
Bake at 350Β° for approximately 15 minutes or to a light brown.
