Add raisins or nuts.
Fill to 2/3 of top of greased cans.
One-pound coffee cans work well. Close lids tightly.
Place on trivet over 1 inch of boiling water. Cover steamer tightly.
Steam 2 hours.
Remove from can.
Cut with a thread.
