Hot Tomato Aspic Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. v-8 juice, 1 (10 oz.) can whole ro-tel, liquified in blender, 2 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon jell-o, 1/4 c. cider vinegar and 2 tsp. lawry's seasoned salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Buy the "whole" Ro-Tel. It is not as hot as the chopped.
Cut out small hard core of tomatoes before running in blender.
Onion juice is made by finely grating onion into a thin cloth and squeezing out the juice.
In spring you can use sweet Vidalia onions, just chopped.
They are not as strong and are delicious.
