Green Chili Pie
Green Chili Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 to 10 fresh or canned whole green chiles, 1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, grated, 5 eggs, lightly beaten, 2 1/2 tbsp. whipping cream and 2 tbsp. onion, minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 325Β°.
Generously grease 10-inch pie pan or shallow casserole.
Line plate with split chiles, covering bottom of pan completely; extend up sides as much as possible.
Combine cheese, eggs, cream, onion, salt, garlic and pepper in blender about 2 minutes.
Carefully pour into pie plate and bake about 30 minutes.
Let cool slightly before cutting into wedges.
