Mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl cream butter until fluffy.
Gradually beat in sugar until light. Beat vanilla until blended and fluffy. Stir in flour mixture, nuts and chocolate until well mixed. Shape in 2-inch balls; inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets (6 sheet).
Middle rack in preheated 350Β° oven
20 to 23 minutes or until golden and edges are lightly browned.
Cool completely on cookie sheet. Store covered dry cool place.
