Gene's Special Calzone
Gene'S Special Calzone is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pizza dough, 1/2 lb. salami, 1/2 lb. boiled ham, 1/2 lb. hot ham and 1/2 lb. provolone cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Let pizza dough rise overnight and punch down as needed.
Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle.
Spread out one layer of salami in a circular pattern completely covering dough.
Cover salami completely with one layer of boiled ham and then cover the ham with layer of hot ham.
Cover these meats in circular pattern with Provolone.
Pick up one end of dough and fold to the midpoint and then fold the same side once more to the end.
Tuck in sides of calzone so nothing leaks when baked.
Beat a whole egg and brush over calzone so it will brown.
Sprinkle poppy or sesame seeds on top and cut three small slices on top to let steam escape.
Put calzone on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes to 1 hour, checking at 45 minutes and remove when brown. Add 5 to 10 minutes for 2 calzones.
