Blend sugar, butter, baking powder, vanilla and eggs with mixer on low speed.
Scrape bowl constantly.
Beat 3 minutes on high, scraping bowl constantly.
Spread 2/3 of the batter on a jelly roll pan.
Spread pie filling over the batter.
Drop remaining batter by tablespoonfuls onto pie filling.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
Combine confectioners sugar and milk to make glaze.
While the cake is still warm drizzle glaze on top.
