Double Fudge Cookies
Double Fudge Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. (2 sticks) butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Let eggs and butter come to room temperature. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Chill dough in freezer for at least 30 minutes.
Pat into cookie mounds and bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 7 to 9 minutes. Cool slightly and remove to wire rack.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
