Danish Sugar Cookies
Danish Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 3/4 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. cream of tartar, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 c. powdered sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Cut in butter and shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Blend egg and vanilla; add to dry ingredients.
Mix only until blended. Dough is fairly soft.
Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in white sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Flatten to 1/4-inch thickness with bottom of glass dipped in white sugar. Bake at 350Β° for about 12 minutes or until delicately browned. Makes about 6 1/2 dozen cookies.
