Copper Country Coffeecake
Copper Country Coffeecake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sour milk, 1 tsp. soda, 2 c. flour, 1 egg, well beaten and 2 tbsp. soft butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix soda and milk.
Add egg, salt, sugar, butter and flour; beat hard.
Add baking powder and beat again.
Pour batter into pan.
Press peeled apple slices into batter.
Sprinkle with combination of granulated sugar and cinnamon.
Dot with butter. Chopped nuts are optional.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes (glass pan at 325° for 45 minutes).
Use a 9 x 13-inch pan.
