Cream Crisco and sugar together until smooth.
Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each egg.
Mix vanilla and milk together and add to the mixture.
Add baking powder to flour and sift, then add to mixture and beat on low for 2 minutes.
Then beat on high until creamy and smooth.
Pour into a well-greased and floured tube cake pan.
Put in oven and then turn oven to 325Β°. Bake 1 1/2 hours.
