Drain 1/2 gallon dill pickles.
Cut in fourths.
Re-pack in jar.
Boil together 2 1/2 cups sugar and 1 cup vinegar.
Drain and reheat.
Pour over pickles and refrigerate.
Makes one half gallon. Good and cheaper than boughten sweet pickles.
