Christmas Custard
Christmas Custard is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pt. whipping cream, 4 egg yolks, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 tbsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Heat oven to 350Β°.
Heat cream over low heat until bubbles (stir constantly); form on edge of pan.
Beat yolks and sugar together until thick and yellow (3 minutes).
Beating constantly, pour cream in steady steam into egg yolks; add vanilla.
Pour into custard cups.
Place cups into baking pan with 1/2 to 1-inch boiling water lining bottom of pan.
Bake 45 minutes.
Remove cups; cool.
Refrigerate 2 hours.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Place under broiler (close) and cook until sugar turns golden brown.
Refrigerate before serving.
Yummy!
