Chinese Pepper Steak
Chinese Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut into thin strips, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 medium onions, chopped, 2 c. water and 1/4 c. soy sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Brown meat in a small amount of oil.
Add chopped onions, water and salt.
Cover and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes. Add green peppers and cook 5 minutes.
Blend cornstarch with a little water and add to meat mixture.
Cook, stirring, until thick.
Just before serving, add tomatoes and soy sauce; heat. Serve over rice.
