Chicken and Dumplings
Chicken And Dumplings is an easy dinner. Made with 1 hen (4 to 5 lb.), 6 c. flour, 2 c. chicken stock, 1 tsp. salt and 2 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cook chicken to which salt and pepper is added, until well done.
Let cool and remove meat from bones.
Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
Add chicken stock and eggs and mix well.
Flour board and knead until smooth.
Roll out a small portion of dough at a time to 1/8 inch thick.
Cut in 1 inch strips and drop into 3 quarts chicken stock and chicken (boiling).
Cook 20 minutes.
