Butter Pecan Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter (not margarine or shortening), 1/2 c. packed brown sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 3/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream butter, brown sugar and egg.
Add vanilla, then flour, powdered sugar, soda and salt.
Blend in pecans.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Frost with a dab of canned sour cream white frosting and top with pecan half.
Makes 3 dozen.
