Barbecue Sauce
Barbecue Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. packed brown sugar, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 tsp. chili powder, 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce and 1/2 c. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

In a medium saucepan, stir together the brown sugar, cornstarch and chili powder.
Stir in the tomato sauce, vinegar, catsup and corn syrup. Add 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil. Lower heat to low and cook, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Stir in orange juice. Simmer 5 minutes more. Baste sauce on meat or poultry the last quarter of grilling or broiling time. Reheat sauce and pass it to use on individual servings.
