Baked Lima Beans(From 1975 Edition) is an easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. dried limas (soak overnight), 1 lb. bacon, cut fine, 2 c. brown sugar, 1 pt. catsup and 2 large onions, minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cover beans with cold water; bring to a boil and cook 15 to 20 minutes.
Drain.
In large roasting pan, place layers of beans and bacon-sugar-onion mixture.
Add catsup and cold water almost to cover.
Bake for 4 hours at 325Β°.
Stir after 1 hour and add salt to taste.
Do not stir again.
Serves 25.
