Armenian Pilaf
Armenian Pilaf is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in just 48 minutes. Made with c. chicken broth, c. white rice, butter and c. vermicelli (1/2-inch cuts), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Melt butter, brown 1/2-inch cuts of vermicelli.
Meanwhile, boil 6 cups of broth in large pot you have sprayed with Pam.
After broth boils add hot browned vermicelli and uncooked rice; stir in. Boil with cover ajar for 10 minutes, then simmer with cover until rice is cooked and broth absorbed.
Stir at least twice during simmering.
You can add cut up mushrooms or pecans to your liking.
