Alaska Canned Salmon Carbonara
Alaska Canned Salmon Carbonara is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 oz. pasta, 6 slices bacon, diced, 1/2 onion, chopped, 3 large cloves garlic, minced and 2 tsp. oregano, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
In 3-quart saucepan, cook bacon until crisp.
Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons bacon fat.
Add onion, garlic, basil, oregano and peppers.
Cook 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes and vinegar; cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in salmon and cream; heat through.
Serve over hot pasta and garnish with Parmesan.
