Yogurt Coffee Cake
Yogurt Coffee Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. flour (whole wheat gives better flavor and texture), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cream butter and brown sugar.
Add egg and vanilla; beat until fluffy.
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with yogurt.
Blend well.
Turn into a greased 9-inch square cake pan.
The top can be sprinkled with chopped nuts if desired.
Bake in a 350Β° oven for about 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
