Yellow Squash Casserole
Yellow Squash Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. yellow squash, sliced, 1 medium onion, chopped, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 small jar pimiento and 1 can sliced water chestnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cook squash and onion in salted water until just tender.
Mix together soup, pimiento, water chestnuts, milk and sour cream. Add to drained squash and onion.
Melt butter and mix with stuffing mix and chicken flavor.
Line casserole with 1/2 stuffing mix.
Top with squash mixture.
Top with Cheddar cheese and remaining stuffing.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350Β°.
Travels nicely. Good hot or reheated.
