Valentine Cookies
Valentine Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 tbsp. butter or margarine, 2/3 c. sugar, 1 egg, well beaten, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. sifted enriched flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cream butter or margarine and sugar.
Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture with milk to form a dough.
Chill.
Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut with heart shaped cookie cutter.
Place half of the cookies on a lightly greased baking sheet; brush each with water.
Cut smaller heart shaped centers from remaining cookies and place the heart frames on top of cookies.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Cool; fill center heart space with cherry filling.
