Thumbprint Cookies
Thumbprint Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. margarine, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 egg yolks, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cream margarine and sugar; add egg yolks, vanilla and salt. Beat well, then gradually add flour.
Mix well.
Make 3/4-inch balls.
Dip in egg whites; roll in walnuts.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Press center with thumb.
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes at 350Β°.
When cool, fill with colored icing or jelly.
Makes 2 1/2 to 3 dozen.
