Teriyaki Steak
Teriyaki Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 small (3/4-inch thick) new york strip steaks or 1 (2 to 3 lb.) flank steak, trimmed and scored, 1 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar, 1 c. soy sauce, 1 1/2-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated and 1/2 clove garlic, crushed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Arrange steak(s) in a shallow dish.
Combine brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and sesame oil.
Blend well.
Pour over steak(s).
Cover and marinate in refrigerator at least 3 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
Broil or barbecue to desired doneness.
(If using flank steak, slice diagonally across the grain before serving.)
