Snappy Turtle Cookies
Snappy Turtle Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/8 tsp. maple flavoring and 1 c. pecan halves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Sift together flour, salt and soda.
Cream shortening.
Add flavorings.
Add dry ingredients gradually; mix thoroughly. Arrange pecan halves in groups of 3 on greased baking sheet to resemble head and hind legs.
Mold teaspoons of dough into balls. Dip bottoms in egg white and press onto pecans.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Cool and frost tops.
