Simple Salisbury Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 can cream of mushroom soup, divided, 1 lb. ground beef, 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs or crackers, 1 egg, beaten and 1/4 c. finely chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In bowl mix 1/4 cup of soup, beef, bread crumbs, eggs and onion.
Shape into 6 patties.
Fry in skillet until browned on both sides.
Spoon out fat.
Stir in remaining soup and mushrooms. Return patties to skillet.
Reduce heat to low.
Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until done.
