Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 1 3/4-inch baking pan.
Pare potatoes; roll in butter to coat well.

Remove pan from oven; turn potatoes.
Add chicken broth.
Bake 1 hour longer, turning several times.
