Sausage Breakfast Casserole
Sausage Breakfast Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 slices bread, butter or margarine, 1 1/2 to 2 c. (6 oz.) shredded monterey jack, longhorn or swiss cheese, 6 eggs, beaten and 2 c. half and half cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Remove crust from bread.
Spread slices with butter.
Place in a greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish; set aside.
Cook sausage until brown, crumbling and drain well.
Spoon over bread slices and sprinkle with dices of potatoes and grated cheese.
Combine eggs, half and half and salt.
Mix well and pour over cheese.
Cover and chill overnight.
Remove from refrigerator 15 to 20 minutes before baking.
Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 45 to 50 minutes or until set.
