Rolls
Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. flour, 1/4 c. sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. soda and 3 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Sift flour, sugar, salt, soda and baking powder together. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Mix with 1 cup buttermilk.
Add to the flour mixture.
Add shortening and remainder of milk.
Mix all ingredients together, roll and cut.
Dip in melted butter (or margarine) and fold together.
Place in pan and bake at 450Β° for 12 minutes (may be baked at once or let stand).
Once prepared, can be covered with foil and frozen.
