Pot Roast and Gravy
Pot Roast And Gravy is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 tsp. seasoned salt, 1/2 tsp. onion powder, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1/8 tsp. garlic powder and 1/4 c. chopped green pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Combine first 5 ingredients; rub into roast.
Brown roast on all sides in hot oil.
Add water and next 6 ingredients.
Cover and bake at 325Β° for 3 hours or until tender.
Remove from pan, reserving liquid in pan. Remove bay leaves; skim fat.
Measure liquid; return to pan.
Add in 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of flour and 2 tablespoons of water for each cup of liquid.
Stir well.
Stir flour mixture into liquid.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
