Polish Lasagna(Pierogi Casserole)
Polish Lasagna(Pierogi Casserole) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 9 lasagna noodles, 4 c. chopped onions, 1 1/2 sticks margarine, 4 tbsp. oil and 1 (29 oz.) can cooked sauerkraut, squeeze out excess water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook potatoes.
Mash with 3 tablespoons margarine.
Add milk, salt and pepper.
Set aside.
Saute onions with remaining margarine and set aside 1/2 of the sauteed onions.
Add sauerkraut to other 1/2 of sauteed onions.
Cook slowly for 15 minutes.
Add water, if needed, to prevent burning.
