Orange Slice Christmas Cake
Orange Slice Christmas Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 lb. cut-up orange slice candy, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates and 2 c. chopped nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Combine the buttermilk and soda.
Add alternately with the flour mixture to butter and eggs.
Mix well and add fruit mixture. Pour into a 10-inch tube pan, greased and floured.
Bake at 300Β° for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Remove from oven.
While cake is still hot, pour a combination of 2 cups powdered sugar and 1 cup orange juice (canned, not frozen) over cake.
Let cool, then refrigerate overnight before removing from pan.
