Orange Scone
Orange Scone is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1/3 c. sugar, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine first 5 ingredients in bowl; cut in margarine with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Add yogurt and next 2 ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
(Dough will be sticky.)
With floured hands pat dough into 9-inch circle on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Cut dough into 10 wedges, cutting into but not through.
Sprinkle with remaining teaspoon of sugar.
Bake at 400Β° for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
(I use a 9-inch nonstick pan and spread a little butter or margarine on top before putting the sugar on.)
