North Carolina Barbecue Sauce
North Carolina Barbecue Sauce is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. vinegar, 3/4 c. water, 2/3 c. minced onion, 1 clove garlic, crushed and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Combine all the ingredients except the dry mustard and 6 teaspoons water in a small stainless steel or enamel saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil, then simmer 5 minutes.
Remove from heat. Dissolve the mustard in the cold water, then thin it out with some of the hot vinegar sauce.
Stir the mustard into the sauce.
Let cool and store in the refrigerator.
