"No-Peek" Stew
"No-Peek" Stew is an easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. lean chuck, cut into 2-inch cubes, 1 3/4 oz. pkg. onion soup mix, 10 1/2 oz. can cream of mushroom soup, 1 c. red wine or water and 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Put all ingredients in a 2 1/2-quart casserole and cover. Bake in 300Β° oven for 2 hours.
DO NOT PEEK!
Let stand for 30 minutes before serving. Can be served with cooked rice or noodles. Serves 6.
This can also be made in an appropriate sized crock-pot. Cook about 6 hours.
