Nanny's Tea Cake
Nanny'S Tea Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp. lemon extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In large bowl, cream the sugar, shortening, eggs and extracts.
Gradually add flour, kneading until mixture is stiff enough to roll.
On lightly floured surface, roll dough 1/4-inch thick.
Cut into desired shapes. Place on greased cookie sheets and bake for 10 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen.
