Nana's Oyster Dressing
Nana'S Oyster Dressing is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (10-inch) iron skillets cornbread, 1/2 medium loaf white bread (at least a day old), 1 large bunch celery, chopped, 2 c. onion, chopped and 8 medium eggs, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix broth, bouillon oleo; let stand until bouillon cubes can be broken
Break all the bread into small pieces; put in large pan.
Add celery and onions.
Add sage and stir; broth and mix well.
(Chop oysters.) Add oysters, liquid and eggs; mix.
Adjust salt to taste.
There should be enough liquid to see after standing a few minutes. Bake in covered roaster
350Β° about 2 hours or until done.
Serves 8 hungry people.
